2021.09.19 16:46 tinyfeetCloudSvcs Let's talk about melee
Ive been playing since Beta, left a few months after launch (like most did), then came back after Wastelanders, and have stayed since with this being my core game. I've spun up new characters here and there just to play around and feel the "danger" of low levels again, and sometimes i'll play melee, but get bored and go back to my main around level 20-25 or so.
So i've never really TRIED to be a melee main. I was a sniperifleman, then moved to junkies commando when i better understood dps and mutations, then moved to bloodied heavy, then juggernauts heavy no PA (dont judge, i love it), then juggernauts heavy with PA (for stabilized), and while I LOVE my current build, I wanted to try melee.
SO I looted a "Tenderizer" from meat week and wanted to give that bit SOB a shot. Rolled a solid legendary with it being bloodied, +15% vats crit, AP replenishment. Modded it with the peppered mod and went to town with it. Added the proper mutations (adrenal reaction, twisted muscles), upped my strength, added radicool, STR legendary perk, and went to town.
However...still feels kinda weak. Is this just melee in general? Ive never really done any deep dives into melee builds, just wanted to kind of wing it a bit. Crits with this weapon have easily gone 2k+ normal swings 400-500 dmg each. Can 1 shot anything with non crits < lvl100, 100 is usually 2 swings if the first isnt a crit.
So what am I missing? Is it melee in general? Maybe my build? Granted, my PA is a mishmosh of "stuff" right now because friggin legendary modules suck, but there's nothing detrimental on my PA. Mostly just +stats, - damage from certain npcs, and an overeaters piece or two.

2021.09.19 16:46 Bencio5 How to make an object disappear using XRRig?
Hi, first of all i'm a total noob, i set up a VR scene in a house, i got everything working, (just the 3d model of the house and a teleprt and smooth motion systems)
I want to make some objects to become invisible at the press of a button, and to come back if i press again (or pressing onther button i'm ok either way)
I tried modifying the script i did in the teleport tutorial but i guess i did not understand well how it works...
How can i do it?

2021.09.19 16:46 Advising1 TV Royale?
I stopped playing almost 2 years ago and want to try getting back into the game. I want to get a feel for which decks and cards are good rn but I’m not sure where to look since TV Royale doesn’t show top players anymore apparently.
I also don’t know which Youtubers to watch anymore since the ones I knew like Pat and OJ don’t post about CR anymore.

2021.09.19 16:46 sharpay-n-ryan ??
• How old are you? What's your gender? Give us a general description of yourself.
I’m 26 and a woman.
If I was an animal, I’d be a sloth or maybe a tortoise. I’m quiet, creative, and fantastical. I am also a very family-oriented person; my husband and my mom are my best friends and I am probably unhealthily attached to both of them lol. Music is everything to me – I love singing, piano, violin, guitar, bass, cello, flute, listening to music – I love anything to do with music. I also LOVE learning, and with that comes my love of reading. Other than that, I have lots of hobbies: beading, drawing, painting, embroidery, bird watching, walking, kayaking, chess, knitting, crocheting, puzzles, and of course watching Netflix lol.
• Is there a medical diagnosis that may impact your mental stability somehow?
• Describe your upbringing. Did it have any kind of religious or structured influence? How did you respond to it?
Most of my upbringing was great and my parents are the most incredible people I’ve ever met. They’re not religious.
The early years of my childhood were kind of tricky. My biological parents put my sisters and I up for adoption when I was around 2-3 years old and I spent time in foster care until my parents adopted me around age 8-9. Foster care was scary because some of my foster parents were mean or abusive. This made me have severe anxiety around people I didn’t know, so I was only able to speak to of people I knew really well. However, once I moved in with my parents, my childhood was amazing so it made up for the early years. :)
• What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not?
I’m a 1-3 teacher and I love my job so much. I love learning and I love seeing the kids learn new things and fall in love with their passions. The world is so magical for kids, and I love seeing it through their eyes.
• If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?
I’d feel fabulous :)
• What kinds of activities do you prefer? Do you like, and are you good at sports? Do you enjoy any other outdoor or indoor activities?
Oops, I already kind of answered this in my description of myself.
I love artsy activities like music and art and crafts. I also spend at least an hour every day reading, any genre but typically fiction.
I don’t love sports, but if I have to exercise, I’d rather play a sport like tennis than go to the gym. I do like figure skating, though. That being said, I am NOT good at sports lol!
I love being outdoors and indoors. I guess I prefer “indoor activities”, but I do a lot of them outside when it’s not -32 degrees lol.
• How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about – is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?
I’m am VERY curious. I just want to learn about anything I can get my brain on. I guess my most researched topics are literature, music, art history, education, astronomy, and biology (my husband’s favourite).
I have a lot of random ideas, but they’re not typically about things I “can execute” – they’re just random thoughts that have nothing to do with anything in real life lol. I don’t know how to explain it; I barely know how my brain works lol.
• Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?
Absolutely not lol. My leadership style would be not telling anyone what to do and crying when they get mad at me for not being a good leader
• Are you coordinated? Why do you feel as if you are or are not? Do you enjoy working with your hands in some form? Describe your activity?
I am not coordinated at all lol. I fall down like once a day and I have no hand-eye coordination. I enjoy working with my hands if I’m playing an instrument, but I would never want to build a table or anything like that.
• Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.
I’m not a great artist, but I love to do art. It’s not anything special, I just kind of draw or paint what my heart wants that day lmao. When viewing art, I typically prefer forms of abstract art as opposed to representational art and realism. I’m a big fan of Norval Morrisseau, Philip Guston, and of course my man Van Gogh. I don’t know how to explain why I’m a fan of them, I just like their work and don’t really have a reason for it.
• What’s your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?
I’m not exactly sure what this question means since I’m not sure if I have an opinion on the past, present, and future lol. My past was good, my present is good, and my future will (hopefully) be good!
• How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?
I’m so quiet and reserved that unless someone is my best friend, they probably won’t ask for my help. That being said, I like helping people and I think it’s important to help the people you love with things they need help on. I won’t say no if someone asks me to help
• Do you need logical consistency in your life?
Um, I don’t know? I’m not very organized if that’s what this question means? I don’t think I need things to be thaaat logical in my life? I kind of live in a dream world lol
• How important is efficiency and productivity to you?
Not at all. I guess I care about being productive at work, but I’m more focused on doing a good job for the kids than I am about “being productive.” I’m not efficient lol.
• Do you control others, even if indirectly? How and why do you do that?
No, I have no desire to control others, and even if I did, I wouldn’t be able to do it well just knowing who I am as a person lol
• What are your hobbies? Why do you like them?
Music, reading, art, bird watching, spending time with family, everything else I’ve listed in other questions lol, etc. I love these hobbies because they make me happy. I don’t really have a reason for liking them, I just like them.
• What is your learning style? What kind of learning environments do you struggle with most? Why do you like/struggle with these learning styles? Do you prefer classes involving memorization, logic, creativity, or your physical senses?
I don’t really believe in learning styles, but I typically prefer to learn in a way that allows me to explore topics that interest me on my own.
I don’t know if I have a preferred learning environment; I can kind of pretend like nothing is happening around me if I want to learn something.
I don’t think memorization leads to real learning, so I don’t like classes like that. Other than that, I love all kinds of classes. Creativity and logic are super interesting.
• How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?
I don’t typically strategize my projects. I have an idea of my visions and goals, but I think it works out better for me if I just go with what I want as decisions arise.
• What are your aspirations in life, professionally and personally?
My aspiration in life… That’s a great question… I wasn’t expecting that question… What is my aspiration in life?... Um… Well… My aspiration in life… Would be…. To be happy…
That is a Beyoncé reference lol, but really my aspirations are just to be happy. I don’t care too much about material gain or promotions or any of that. I just want to live happily with my family. I’d like to start a family of my own someday, too.
• What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?
My biggest fear would be losing my husband or my mom. I’m so reliant on them for companionship and stability that I’d be an absolute wreck without them. I am also afraid of other people, lol. Other than that, I don’t think I’m too much of a fearful person.
Being in social situations makes me uncomfortable.
I don’t really hate people or things, other than the obvious cruelty, unkindness, abuse, etc. Even then, it’s hard for me to feel hate. I can meet an incredibly unkind person and still see them as “having a bad day”. I’ve been criticized a lot about being too optimistic about the world lol
• What do the “highs” in your life look like?
Calmness, happiness, love, family, music :)
• What do the "lows" in your life look like?
A lot of anxiety
• How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?
I don’t think I’m too “attached” per se, but I’m not delusional lol (well, maybe sometimes….) I daydream a lot, and I don’t really pay attention to what’s around me too much. I am kind of aware of my surroundings when I daydream, but if I don’t want to be aware of them then I don’t have to be
• Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?
I’d probably start singing or tapping on the walls. Music makes everything better.
If it was for such a long time that I couldn’t ignore my scary thoughts anymore, I’d probably have a lot of anxiety and start crying, but I don’t know specifically what my thoughts would be about
• How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?
It takes me quite a while to make an important decision unless I have help from my mom and husband. The thing is, I don’t really have strong opinions about things so it’s easier to get help. It also takes me years to make unimportant decisions lol.
I don’t typically change my mind, but I’m not opposed to it if I learn something new.
• How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?
I consider myself a very emotional person, but I don’t really “process” my emotions. I just kind of feel them as they come lol.
Emotions are important, obviously. They let you experience life.
• Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?
Always. Unless someone is being blatantly unkind or racist or something, I’m not going to argue about small things.
• Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why?
I don’t break the rules, but it’s more of a matter of convenience than a real love of the rules.
I guess sometimes authority should be challenged, but it really depends on the situation.

2021.09.19 16:46 MaxThrustage [IIL] Ambient study music that isn't "relaxing" or "soothing" [WEWIL]
I like to have music on when I read/work, and am looking for suggestions. I tend to use atmospheric black metal like Trna, Tardigradia, Mare Cognitum and Violet Cold, but also sometimes electronic music like Origamibiro, Aphex Twin and Fuck Buttons and sometimes jazz like Art Blakey, Thelonious Monk, Fire! and Bohren & der Club of Gore. Lately I've also been working with some instrumental math rock like Totoro, Clever Girl and Covet, and I'll sometimes also throw some post-rock or some harsh noise into the mix. Classical music sometimes works too, particularly modern-ish stuff like Berg or Bartok, or minimalism like Terry Riley and Steve Reich.
Basically, I'm interested in a wide range of stuff, and would ideally like to hear something completely new. But what I don't want is the usual "study music" playlists you tend to find on Spotify where everything is soft and calming and basically totally flavourless. I want some crunch in my study music -- I want something that will keep me awake! I'm also not really interested in lo-fi hip-hop beats to relax/study to, nor am I particularly interested in movie or video game soundtracks. Beyond that, I'm open to basically anything instrumental -- or anything where the vocals are so incomprehensible as to not be distracting (hence the black metal above). Wall-of-sound type stuff is ideal (again, hence the atmo-black).
