2021.12.05 10:50 Collusionate Question for whales
Hello guys, I have a question for everyone who has donated into the game. I was loving the game for quite a long time and was completely f2p but lately I’ve been thinking about fulfilling a little bit of my gacha addiction and spend money haha So, what would you recommend to spend money on? What would be the most helpful to make my progress faster or just help with progression overall?

2021.12.05 10:50 Tazarant Hear me out...
But is it possible Kirby just tried to give the Tide a fatal dose of rat poison?
Our defense plays uncharacteristically sloppy ball, our clearly struggling qb never gets benched, and Kirby is calm through the entire thing. It's it possible he intended to lose, assuming we were playoff bound already, to inflate Bama's ego to dangerous levels?
I know it's unlikely and illogical, but it's the only way I can make sense of yesterday.

2021.12.05 10:50 sussyfish- My birthday is next month and I have no idea what to do with my life anymore (Long post)
TL;DR 2nd year CS college student realizing I've lost every ounce of passion I have for coding, but I don't know where to go from here.
Background info (Please skip to the main body of this post if not interested)
Ever since I was born, my parents have pushed me to become a software developer because my dad is one (a very good and supportive dev) and he wants me to achieve a similar if not the same benefits he has:
- Options to stay and WFH (even before the pandemic) - A very nice salary enough to support a family AND take very nice vacations - Other benefits to software dev I can't recall at the top of my head but you get the point
As a kid, I saw these benefits to getting into the CS industry, and since I was good at math, my dad and I figured it would be worth learning early to get a head start into my career. From a very young age, I painted this picture of learning the ins and outs of coding, enjoying creating projects such as websites and mods for video games.
However, it wasn't like tech wasn't the only thing I was interested in either. I was also very interested in cars and cooking from an early age. Watching my mom make delicious food and racing cars in video games always inspired me to either go into cooking or becoming a mechanic. Whenever I brought these up to my parents, they always shut me down by telling me "You don't need to work those jobs where you need to get dirty for a low pay. Why not relax and code like your dad and make double the money?" Eventually, it felt like I was at a crossroads with my future. Either I could choose to cook, learn how to become a mechanic, or sit at home and learn to program. I chose to learn programming.
Starting from elementary school, my dad along with online resources helped me learn the basics of HTML and CSS. By the end of 5th grade I've created my own website that had guides over Mario Kart Wii and Gran Turismo 5. Of course this wasn't actually out on the internet, but I was so proud of what I created and wanted to show everybody my website over games. I had a taste of what it was like to create something and being able to share with others. At this point, the idea of becoming a programmer was absolutely going to be my future. I was told if I just work towards it no matter how difficult it is, I'll get to be just like my dad and be a coding mastermind while being paid a pretty penny for it.
Surprise surprise, that was some bullshit.
The realization: A downward spiral of mind numbing keyboard mashing
Going into high school, I started taking my first CS classes and properly learning how to code. The projects were pretty fun to create and I enjoyed working on them as much as playing with them afterwards. However, as I kept diving more and more into these classes, I realized I wasn't feeling much of anything whenever I created projects and learned more about different languages. I figured it was just my childhood expectations not living up to what real life is and that I should just keep pushing through. After all, there is that pot of gold waiting at the end of the rainbow for me.
Graduating from high school and straight back into the education system with my first semester of college, I had moderately high hopes. I knew that coding won't ALWAYS be fun and exciting, but I still had some passion for learning and creating more projects. My first semester didn't really do much because it was just an intro course, but my second semester was when I actually got to do stuff. However, I didn't feel anything anymore when coding. Whenever I came up with my own project to submit as my final for my professor, I didn't even feel happy that I coded it. I was just more relieved that the class was over and I had summer break.
This semester was especially rough on me and really forced my eyes open to my own unhappiness. My class workload was way too heavy this semester, so I just dropped my elective courses and only took 2 coding classes and a math class. I'm starting to dread the thought of coding any further, and I've finally made the realization that I'm not in the slightest bit happy of my potential career or coding in general. Its not even that the classes are too difficult for me since I only have 3 of them, so time management and completing assignments aren't an issue for me.
Uncertainty of my future: Great, now what?
I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. On one hand, I've lost any interest of coding and I want to start finding another career that just pays enough and doesn't make me hate life. On the other hand, how the fuck do I start? My parents moved to America and worked hard for a good house in a decent neighborhood, and all they ever asked me to do was to graduate and become a successful programmer.
Do I just tell them after my finals, "Hey guys just wanted to let you know I've lost any idea of what I should do with my life anymore and your $30k+ was all for nothing. By the way, whats for lunch?" Furthermore, I don't know what to do even if they do somehow accept that I don't want to code even though its what I've been learning all my life. I've tried looking into becoming a mechanic, but apparently the pay is just enough for one person to live on. If I chose to become a cook, I don't even know if I'm gonna be paid well at all.
Yeah I just don't know what to do or where to go from here. My finals are next week, but after that I'm unsure of what my next step is gonna be.

2021.12.05 10:50 Gremmerz666 Fictional vs real-life aircraft name trademarks
Note: I've sent a message to the mods of this sub whether this question is too specific according to the sub rules but as more than a week passed without a reply I assume it was either ignored, was no interest in responding or the mods don't read those messages or not often at least. As such I post the question here in hopes it is within the rules to do so. Excuse me if this question is too specific and of course remove it as per usual if it is against the rules.
The question would be: Do trademarks for real-life aircraft and their names apply to fictional different type of aircraft?
Specifically got curious about aircraft names and shapes which are clearly trademarked. Like the A–10 Thunderbolt II, F-22 Raptor, F-14 Tomcat and so on. Thus can not be used in media without licensing neither the name nor the aircraft model itself which is all straightforward.
But what is the case if a fictional aircraft would be named Thunderbolt, Raptor, Tomcat and so on. Like a future aircraft from decades or even a sci-fi aerospace craft hundreds of years into the future? Both cases being entirely different including their looks than the current day aircraft, only the name would be the same or similar.
So does the trademark on the name only apply to aircraft that are supposed to be the same type or it also applies to fictional aircraft in general?

This is a new one for me. Normally I would assume it means she’s no longer interested but the convo went so well… and we planned a date for tomorrow.
